Having A Blast On Set And In Rehearsals

This past week has been non-stop with auditions, callbacks, bookings and rehearsals (not to mention working at my day job as well). At times, I’ve felt like I barely had time to breath, but I’ve loved every moment of it. And that’s how I know that I am in the right profession. That’s how I know acting is what I am meant to do.

I finished filming my episodes of Re-Casting Kyle and I had such an amazing time working with everyone involved. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard on set!

Here we are on my second day of shooting (I’m not sure what I was doing, but I think someone just said something really funny!):

Re-Casting Kyle Day 2

Here we are on my third day of shooting (I’m pretty sure we were debating whether we wanted to eat the prop cupcakes at that very moment or wait until later–not sure why I have that facial expression though, ha!):

Re-Casting Kyle Day 3

I do hope that I get to work with all of these lovely people again soon!

I also got to be a part of Be More Heroic’s Anti-Bullying PSA music video yesterday and it was so much fun! People from all walks of life were there to help create this incredible piece and there was so much love and support amongst everyone. It was truly incredible and a one-of-a-kind experience. I can’t wait to see how the music video turns out and I will be sure to post it here when I get a copy of it! In the meantime, please check out Be More Heroic’s website and support their important cause.

Here I am on set for Be More Heroic’s PSA music video in West Hollywood Park:

On Set Of Be More Heroic PSA Music Video

I had my first rehearsal for Rumpelstiltskin at West Valley Playhouse Children’s Theatre on Wednesday, and I can already tell this is going to be a neat production. It’s going to be a lot of work, but everyone is extremely dedicated and committed which is wonderful. It’s also a physically demanding show which I know the kids are going to absolutely love so I’m really excited. As of right now, the performances will be on Wednesdays at 10am beginning Wednesday, April 16th until Wednesday, April 30th and on Saturdays at 10am and 1pm beginning Saturday, April 12th and ending Saturday, May 3rd. The theatre is located at 7242 Owensmouth Ave. Canoga Park, CA 91303 (phone number is 818-884-1907).

I was just cast as one of the leads in a fantastic short film called This Is Not A Bollywood Movie and I am greatly looking forward to diving into my character Diya. Shooting will begin sometime in mid-April, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me.

Lastly, I had an audition and a separate callback for The Hollywood Fringe Festival last night. I would love to be a part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival this year, but if it doesn’t work out there is always next year. And who knows, maybe next year I will be producing my own show!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week! Keep checking back for updates!
