May News

Rumpelstiltskin and Digby’s New Wife finished their respective runs two weekends ago to rave reviews. I worked with such talented people on both productions and I miss everyone so much already.  I do hope I get to work with each and every one of them again soon!

I wasn’t able to attend the screening of This Is Not A Bollywood Movie at USC, but I did manage to see a cut of it while I was doing some ADR for it, and I absolutely loved it! I am so lucky to be consistently working with such artistic, talented, and creative people.

Rehearsals for EgoManiac – A Poetic Incantation are well underway and I am having an absolute blast! This is an incredible thought-provoking play. It will be premiering at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June. I am working with the most amazing people on this and I am constantly blown away at the level of dedication and commitment everyone brings to each rehearsal. There’s a really nice post on EgoManiac’s Facebook page introducing me as one of the cast members. You can find it HERE (and if you are on Facebook, be sure to like the page so you can stay up-to-date on everything that’s happening).

I began rehearsals for Cecily this week which will also be premiering at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June. And my oh my, this is one intense play! My director and the other two actresses in this are phenomenal and such a joy to work with. This play is extremely challenging, but I feel that I am beginning to find my voice as Cecily which is great. Not only do I have to brush up my British accent for this play, but my character has also recently suffered brain damage from a motorcycle accident, so I’ve been doing a ton of research on how to best capture all of Cecily’s disabilities (both mental and physical).

In other news, I just found out that I booked an industrial that will be shooting some time on Monday and/or Tuesday. I’ve been in one industrial before and I had a lot of fun doing it, so I’m excited to see how this one is going to turn out. I don’t have a ton of information on it yet (I should be getting my call-sheet later today).

I was supposed to audition for a really cool sounding horror movie today, but I got a last-minute call that I was needed for a commercial shoot! So now I’m just waiting to see when I am needed.

I hope everyone is having a lovely Friday! Be sure to keep checking back for updates! Cheers!
